On Giving

When you give love to your friends, but they don’t see it;
When you give love to your children, but they reject it;
When you give love to your parents, but they complain about it;
When you give love to your loved ones, but they judge it;
Do not shut down your heart.

True love does not need anything;
It doesn’t collect “thank you’s.”

Keep giving,
For in your giving you have already received,
You have already been healed…

  1. Such an important distinction: “Giving Mode” vs. “Getting Mode”
    One seeks, wishes for, and wants needily.
    The other offers, provides, and shares freely.
    One begets sorrow, unhappiness, hurt feelings.
    The other Fulfillment, Bliss, Freedom, and Joy.
    You Enlighten the Path of the True Giver, Diana.
    May you reap all the rewards that Path has to offer.
